Are any of these statements untrue? No, every headline you read is really possible in real estate. The purpose of the headline is to grab your attention and rattle you during a time when your life may need some adjustments. Let me see if I can explain.

You want a more lavish, luxurious and simpler life. You want cars, money, freedom, and the ability to contribute to your community, church, and civic duties. It starts out as the basic survival need, but grows into recognition, reward, prestige and a professional reputation. This material and social acceptance puts you on equal ground with other professionals in your community and you want this respect. You seek this respect and maybe you have spent a lifetime and a small fortune trying to obtain this “other life.”

At a time in your life when you “want more” the discovery of the these TV informercials, full page ads and the personalized mailer seem like a God send.

“It’s FREE.” This is the two word exchange between husbands and wives, life partners and friends and before you know it, you have reserved your seat. You are one of the couple of hundred to file into random hotel meeting rooms across your city.

You arrive a couple of minutes early and are greeted with; “Folks were going to open the doors at the top of the hour so take a seat for just a couple of minutes and if you haven’t registered, get that taken care of with that young man over at the 2nd table, thank you”

2:00 PM! Finally the doors open and you are allowed to take a seat. The room is average size with a screen in the front and a tripod that holds a large pad of paper. The energy in the room is exciting and you settle in for your 90 minute FREE Real Estate Workshop.

The instructor is sharp, well dressed, polished, and at times entertaining. He tells you to hold your questions to the end and gets everyone in the group to agree. He speaks of the market conditions, the current economy and explains that he in no way can give you everything needed in order for you to be a successful real estate investor. He does mention that a 3 day workshop will be in the area in the next 2 weeks and seems to repeat that throughout his presentations. He shows you a couple of deals and some copies of a couple of checks that are larger then what most people make in a year. He keeps going back to the 3 day workshop, “all of the materials you see up here, these are included when you attend the 3 day training,” he says.

“If you liked what you’ve heard, and want to move to the next level and attend our 3 day training, you can do that at the back table but there is an investment.” “Because of the market conditions and the opportunity, we are accepting a limited number of students. If you know this is for you then I advise you to get up and go to the back and get signed up immediately. But, before you go back, we normally charge $3,995 for the 3 day training but for those of you who are serious we are discounting the tuition by $1,000.00.

The quest for that “richer, fuller, more rewarding life” just got real.
